How to start

1. Install the Commerce Applications SDK
2. Bluestacks for macbook m1. Order a Developer Kit to test your application on a device. We now offer two Developer Kit Devices - Carbon-10 and P400.

Commerce Applications SDK

Verifone Commerce Application SDK can be run on a PC with a Windows 7, 8, or 10, or on MacOS 10.9. The SDK is a plugin for the Android Studio IDE.
The Commerce Applications SDK includes a simulator that can be used for testing both the Terminal Commerce as well Android and Android Commerce applications. Instructions for using the simulator can be found under the title Develop in the Developer Central.

Developer Kit

With Developer Kit one can complete end-to-end testing in a real device, using the safe Entitlement Services Sandbox environment for external connections. One can simulate payment actions without making real payments by using debit and credit cards, as well NFC-based mobile payment solutions.
Applications under testing can be side loaded into the Development Kit, or installed over the internet. However, production-signed applications from the Marketplace cannot be installed on a Development Kit.
One needs to side load test signed application packages. In the Commerce Applications SDK term, a Test Package is used for exporting app packages that can be installed on a Developer Kit.

Important Notes:

  • Downloads over a Phone cord (Dial) will take about an hour.
  • Any incoming call or fax on the line that is connected to the terminal will interrupt and restart the download.
  • We recommend using an Ethernet cable, which is the cable your computer is plugged into for internet connection. Link to Vx520 Full Download Process (Ethernet).

Verifone Vx805 Software Download

  1. On the terminal, Press both F2 and F4
  2. Input the password: 1, alpha key, alpha key, 66831. Then press Enter
  3. Select 2 (Download)
  4. Press Enter (Group id 1)
  5. Input the password: 1, alpha key, alpha key, 66831. Then press Enter
  6. Select 2 (Multi)
  7. Select 1 (Full)
  8. A prompt to clear previous software will display. Select 2 to Continue. Alternatively, the terminal may prompt you to delete the Grp1 file.
  9. Select 1 (Yes) to confirm
  10. Enter number 18886541696. Then press Enter
  11. Confirm the displayed number is the V# on a sticker on the side or back of terminal (the letter 'V' is replaced with the number 7)
  12. Select 2 to start the Download
  13. You will see 10 Dash which will turn to 10 Stars
  14. Please wait while the terminal completes the process
  15. An Idle Screen will display with two Prompts
  16. Press F3 on the side of the Screen for SOFTPAY-TSYS to access your Sale screen
  17. Enter the Authentication Code: 7, alpha key 3 times, 2, alpha, 4, alpha, 3 alpha key 2 times, 123. This should spell SAGE123. Then press Enter
  18. Key in the Business Zip Code (the Zip code that is on your sales receipt). Then press Enter.
