If you have windows 10 and you can't play the game due to that punkbuster is not starting.
1 Check if you have your punkbuster updated to the lastest version

2 Check if the punkbuster is running in your task manager and or check your windows service ( start run 'services.mce' and look for PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB ) and start it manual.
3 if you dont have the PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB setup in your windows services.
1 Click Start and type CMD in the Start search box
2 Right click on CMD in the list and right click on 'Run as administrator'
3 Type the following command: net user administrator /active:yes
4 Type the following command:
( for windows 64bit )
sc create PnkBstrB binpath= C:WindowsSysWOW64PnkBstrB.exe start= auto
sc create PnkBstrA binpath= C:WindowsSysWOW64PnkBstrA.exe start= auto
( for windows 32bit )
sc create PnkBstrB binpath= C:Windowssystem32PnkBstrB.exe start= auto
sc create PnkBstrA binpath= C:Windowssystem32PnkBstrA.exe start= auto
Finally check you windows services whether the service has been created and started.

So, I have do what you say PnkBstrB is running but after running (as admin) 'sc create PnkBstrA binpath= C:WindowsSysWOW64PnkBstrA.exe start= auto'
I have this error message:
'The specified service has been marked for deletion'
Can you help me?

So, i have successfully created the 2 services, but when i launch them by manual launch i have this error: 'The specified file is not found'
In my SysWOW64, i don't have pnkbstrA and B :/
I have launch PBSetup, i add Battlefield 3, all seems to be good :/

if you had them in SysWOW64 then you probably use Wrong/outdated version of pb/pbsvc.exe, incompatible with 64-bit Windows.

what do you do if punkbuster IS working, but kicking you out of the game?
wait for evenbalance to get of their hands and start working with the proper update?

Why does EA treat there customers like garbage? Why should we have to goto the forums to find a hack like this to get the game to work on a major OS?
