REMINGTON 600's - 660's. Number Manufactured. 600 Mohawk All Caliber's. Number 1 was presented to the Governor of Montana and Number 2 was. One of the kind Remington Mohawk 600. Front and back of the action are pillar bedded, also action and first 3” of the barrel is epoxy bedded with fully floating medium profile 18” original factory barrel. It has epoxy bedded Heritage Arms Aluminium trigger guard and Heritage Arms bolt release kit fitted (Model 700 style), 20 Oz trigger. Rear of the action had another hole drilled and taped. The following serial number information is for Remingtion firearms manufactured after 1921. Remingtons manufactured after 1921 have a code located on the left side of the barrel. Fits Remington 600/660/Mohawk. Just installed the black anodized rib on my model 600 to replace the cracked plastic original. The fit and look is perfect.

Using barrel codes (such as those listed above) to date the manufacture are reliable on Remington rifles, as the company rarely changed barrels on a customer’s rifle.
Using these barrel codes to date a shotgun is somewhat unreliable, as shotgun barrels are often interchanged at random. One needs to be sure that the barrel is original to the gun before trusting the Barrel Code listing, above.

On 8/9/99, stopped stamping the barrels with the date code.
They continued to mark the date code on the end flap of the shipping box.
They resumed stamping the date code on the barrel on 10/1/01.
